Robots Are Taking Over The World! But Is That Such A Bad Thing?

If there’s one field of technology that has developed massively over the past decade, it’s robotics. There has been a lot of complaints about robots recently, like the fact that they are very lifelike, soon humans won’t be needed for work, or that robots will take over one day. There is some truth to these complaints, and robots are generally more efficient than humans, but that’s just one of the things that makes them so remarkable. There is so much that robots help us with every single day of our lives. Here are a few of the best examples.

Produce Cars

If you’ve ever ridden in a car, a bus, or on a motorcycle, then robots have had a big effect on your life. Collaborative robots work every single day in the automobile industry to assist in the building of these vehicles. There are many reasons why robots are the perfect employees in this industry. Firstly, they can complete tasks that could be too dangerous for humans to complete, and can also do so at a pace much faster than any human would be capable. They can save money in manufacturing costs, won’t get tired, and have a wide variety of tools connected to their mechanical arms, allowing them to do a variety of different jobs.

Work In The Military

The military is understandably incredibly dangerous, which is why robots are used to complete more dangerous jobs whenever they can be. Countless lives used to be lost in an attempt to detonate mines and explosive devices, but these days explosive ordnance disposal robots are commonly used to complete these tasks and examine suspicious packages. Robots can even be used to find hidden explosives and enemies, thus saving even more lives.

Conduct Surgery Remotely

If there’s one thing on this list that’s truly phenomenal, it’s robot surgery. When you image surgery, you always think of a surgeon in their scrubs working on a patient. These days, however, this isn’t always the case. Technology has developed so much in recent years, that it’s now possible for robots to conduct surgeries directed by humans who don’t have to even be in the same country as them. This means that, if there were ever a reason that a doctor couldn’t get to surgery, they would still be able to conduct it remotely, which could save thousands of lives.

Robots In Space

Robots allow us to see planets that are simply too far away or too dangerous for human astronauts to visit. This means that we can collect data and images on these planets, thus expanding our knowledge of space and planets besides our own. Robots are also used in space by human astronauts to assist in the completion of important and difficult.

Yes, robots are taking over the world, but considering the amount of good that they can do, is that really such a bad thing right now? Robots save lives every single day and make countless more lives a lot easier, so as long as they don’t start imprisoning humans, I think the world is a much better place with them in it.
